Donate to help

Every year, Tommy’s Real Estate donates to Life Education Trust to support their programs. This funding helps ensure that over 5000 children in Wellington can benefit from the Healthy Harold program.

Impact of the Healthy Harold Program

Life Education Trust is dedicated to providing health education to children through engaging and interactive lessons. Their mobile classrooms visit schools to teach students about nutrition, mental health, and the importance of resilience.

In order to keep the costs to schools as low as possible the Trust relies on donations and grants received to continue to deliver their service to the children of Wellington City through their highly skilled educator, and modern learning environment – the mobile classroom.

Healthy Harold Programme

Life Ed teaching covers content across five major strands: food and nutrition, human biology, relationships & communities, identity and resilience, and substances.

Resilience

Life Ed have also been working with a particular emphasis on building students resilience. Bullying, Mental health and Wellbeing.

Substances

SMASHED uses powerful live theatre and interactive workshops to engage students on the dangers of underage drinking. Designed for Year 9 – 10 students, audiences follow the lives of three young people and witness how they become involved with alcohol and how it affects their lives.

“It was so special to see my daughter captivated by Harold, I’m sure I was the same at her age. It was magic!"

Jason Lange, Tommy’s agent

Life Education Trust is a specialised health resource reaching 85% of primary and intermediate schools with mobile classrooms. Their mission is to equip children with knowledge to make healthy life choices, using innovative technology to engage students about the human body, brain functions, and essential needs.

Prioritising children’s mental health, they foster self-identity, belonging, and resilience, addressing self-worth, peer pressure, bullying, and empathy. Without government funding, they rely on grants, student contributions, and local fundraising.

At Tommy’s, we support this crucial community asset by ensuring the continued delivery of the Healthy Harold programme in schools.
